Fashion on the Move, as we journey through the 21st century…

A dynamic, innovative take on ever-evolving Fashion trends (and not only) spanning from cultural shifts and technological advancements.
Fashion has always been a dynamic industry and, lately, an invigorating trend has emerged, elevating this dynamism to new heights. Long gone are the days when fashion shows were limited to grand halls and static stages. Now, runways are mobile, taking audiences on journeys through stunning and exotic locations. This exciting innovation has redefined how fashion is presented and experienced.
In recent years, designers have embraced mobile runways, showcasing collections in unexpected locations. From rail salons and ferry decks to airport lounges and desert oases, these fashion shows offer immersive experiences that engage all the senses, creating narratives that extend beyond the clothes themselves.
These travelling shows are not just about showcasing designs, they focus on creating an experience. By using venues like sleeper buses or ferry decks, designers invite audiences to embark on a journey with the models. This immersive setting allows fashion enthusiasts to view collections in a new light, influenced by the changing scenery and atmosphere.
The interiors of these mobile runways are as carefully curated as the collections. Designers draw inspiration from diverse sources, such as old train wagons and desolate landscapes, to create cohesive themes that blend the journey with fashion. The result is a seamless mix of visual and sensory elements that captivate audiences.
Travel-themed runway shows engage all the senses, not just sight. From enticing scents in the air to complementary sounds, every detail is choreographed to enhance the experience. The taste of local delicacies or themed refreshments adds another layer to this multisensory journey, making each show truly synesthetic.
This innovative approach to fashion shows underscores the industry’s embrace of change and creativity. By transforming runways into moving experiences, designers showcase not only their collections but also tell resonant stories. It celebrates fashion’s ability to adapt, inspire, and connect with people on a deeper level.
As the fashion world explores new frontiers, the trend of mobile runways promises endless possibilities for creativity and expression. Whether it’s a train journey through scenic landscapes or a ferry ride across tranquil waters, these shows remind us that fashion is more than clothing, it’s about the journey it takes us on.
Inspired by travel and movement, we have embarked on our own ground-breaking creative journey, designing three themed visuals that evoke wanderlust and adventure. Taking cues from recent and older campaigns of brands like Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Versace, Jacquemus and Saint Laurent, we have generated a synesthetic experience that blends interior inspiration with fashion and travel in a captivating way.
Orient Express: Vintage Travel

Trend & Layout Design By Dr. Manuela Pirola Featuring: Ralph Lauren, FW 2024 (Tagwalk) and Gucci, Spring 2025 ad campaign (detail)
Inspired by the romance and nostalgia of vintage train journeys, the Orient Express theme captures early 20th-century opulence. Gucci’s “travel nostalgia” campaign aligns perfectly with this theme, celebrating elegance and allure from bygone eras. Ralph Lauren’s influence adds refinement with its sophisticated American old-style. We envision dark wood reminiscent of vintage train compartments; plush velvet upholstery in jewel tones like emerald and sapphire; and antique brass accents for an old-world charm.
Dolce Vita: Italian Riviera and Decor

Trend & Layout Design By Dr. Manuela Pirola Featuring: Ralph Lauren, FW 2024 (Tagwalk) and Gucci, Spring 2025 ad campaign (detail)
Channeling the essence of the Italian Riviera, the Dolce Vita theme embodies Italy’s carefree, sun-kissed coastal lifestyle. Our moodboard draws on Jacquemus and Versace’s Capri and Positano campaigns, highlighting vibrant colors and Mediterranean motifs. Key elements are sun-soaked palettes: citrus tones and azure blues reminiscent of coastal vistas, alongside marble floors and striped fabrics paired with the Riviera’s lush landscape. Jacquemus brings a youthful twist to this laid-back theme, while Versace adds intriguing holiday patterns and rich details to enhance the luxurious Italian coast.
Desert: A Contemplative Atmosphere

Trend & Layout Design By Dr. Manuela Pirola Featuring: Ralph Lauren, FW 2024 (Tagwalk) and Gucci, Spring 2025 ad campaign (detail)
The Desert theme draws inspiration from mesmerizing landscapes, ideal for moody and introspective shoots, as shown in Saint Laurent’s menswear campaign. It emphasizes the allure of the exotic through sleek, minimalist designs that highlight the beauty of the surroundings. The moodboard exudes warmth and mystery, inspired by the vast expanses and intricate history of desert lands. Earthy Tones: a refined palette of sandy beiges and ochres reflects the landscape. The use of natural fabrics and raw textures creates a tactile, layered look with an artisanal touch.
By conjugating themes of travel and movement, each moodboard offers a unique perspective, transforming interiors and fashion into evocative journeys. These designs are not merely about aesthetics; they narrate stories of adventure, nostalgia, and the beauty found in diverse cultures and landscapes. Enjoy the process.
