Mugler Spring Summer 2026: The Body, Rebuilt

Miguel Castro Freitas staged his first Mugler show in a brutalist Paris car park, contrasting stark architecture with the house’s iconic drama. The hourglass silhouette appeared in strict wool and satin tailoring, softened in muted grays and beiges. He restored Mugler’s craft legacy with matte jeweled bodices and feathered creations evoking Hollywood glamour and avian metamorphosis.
Highlights included sculptural leather dresses with inflated décolletés and gilded pantsuits with built-in gloves. A bold, cinematic debut, it set Mugler’s red-carpet future while hinting at the need for everyday resonance.
