Well, I’m not really going to open this with a cute line about February because it doesn’t really deserve that. The world feels heavy right now, in a very real, sit-with-it way, and still we wake up, we show up, we keep moving. Some days that feels brave. A lot of days it just feels necessary.
And then, in a few weeks, we’re going to hit Ramadan, and that’s when everything changes for me. I fast, I observe, I slow down on purpose. It’s my time to give to the higher power. It’s time to acknowledge Him and do my part… to be more intentional, disciplined, and present. More aware of what I’m consuming and what I’m giving away. Not only what I put into my body, but also energetically. Ramadan has a way of putting things back in their right place.
So yes, we made an issue, and yes, this cover came together last minute. Not chaotic, not messy, just one of those moments where timing has to click and everyone has to move with purpose.
Our February cover features Giulio Bergamaschi, CEO of Acqua di Parma, as the house marks its 110th anniversary. And listen… this is a big deal for Gazetta. The kind of moment where you sit back after and go, wait, we actually did that?
Ivan Allegranti, our International Features Editor, made it happen. Truly. It felt a little magical, the way it came together. He secured the cover, he interviewed Giulio, he shaped the whole story, and he kept it moving until it landed exactly where it needed to land. I’m beyond thankful. I’m ecstatic. I’m proud. And I’m still a little in disbelief—in the best way.
Inside, you’ll find a proper interview with Giulio. Not surface-level. It’s about legacy, taste, restraint, and the discipline it takes to lead a house with real history without letting it become frozen in time. There’s something about perfumery that already understands that. You don’t force it. You build it. You let it develop.
There’s another milestone in this issue that matters to me personally, and I want to say it plainly. Gazetta is now accessible for readers who are visually impaired. This is a big deal, and I’m genuinely proud of it. It started as an idea Ivan brought forward, suggested, and really pushed for. And Yousef Hammoda made it real on the tech side and got it working properly. That is a major moment for Gazetta.
And I can’t write this without acknowledging the team, because this issue is not one person’s effort. We have a great team, wonderful contributors, editors, correspondents, writers… people who choose to put their time into Gazetta because they believe in it. Not because it’s an obligation, but because they feel they have something to share with you. They want to do their part, and they make it happen. I’m so proud of them all.
Also… it’s February 2026 already. I still find that slightly unreal. We have a whole year planned, and it’s not small. New milestones, sharper ideas, more stories, more moments that make us pause and say, okay, this is why we do it.
So scroll our digital pages and take your time with this issue. Let the cover story pull you in, then wander through the rest. Let it sit with you.
Thank you for being here, truly. Ramadan Kareem.
