Between Light and Structure: Gabriele Colangelo SS26

Professor Ivan Allegranti is a seasoned freelance journalist and academic…
Gabriele Colangelo’s SS26 collection explores subtle lace lit by glass baguettes, translucent organza that gently veils the body, and silky fringes shaping generous volumes. Raffia jacquard weaves geometric patterns that unravel into wavering fringes, while reptile-like surfaces shimmer with vertical gradients.
Linear silhouettes alternate between fluid drapes and architectural cuts: shirts resemble draped capes, jackets feature sharp shoulders. Neutral tones meet decisive black, enriched by golden leather chains that double as necklaces, belts, or straps. Pointed boots and python sandals in vivid green complete this poised yet sensual narrative.

Professor Ivan Allegranti is a seasoned freelance journalist and academic based in Italy, with a strong foundation in law and a teaching role in Bratislava. His journey into the world of fashion began in an unlikely place, as an apprentice in a tailor’s shop. Quickly realising that his strengths lay not in the precision of the needle but in the art of storytelling, he turned his focus to chronicling the brands, artists, and visionaries who define the luxury industry. Today, he combines his legal expertise, academic insight, and narrative flair to bring depth and perspective into GAZETTA. @ivanallegranti
