Givenchy SS26: Power Softened, Femininity Defined

Professor Ivan Allegranti is a seasoned freelance journalist and academic…
Sarah Burton’s second collection for Givenchy reinforced her vision of a clear, powerful feminine silhouette. Softened tailoring replaced the rigid structures of her debut, jackets shedding their canvas for lightness and fluidity. Dresses wrapped and draped like bolts of fabric, lace minis peeked under tipped-forward jackets, and sheer mesh slipsamplified sensuality.
Couture flourishes appeared in ombré-fringed embroidery, shredded chiffon masquerading as feathers, and sculptural gowns held with delicate, fragile straps. Balancing sensual archetypes with couture craftsmanship, Burton cemented her Givenchy as both seductive and supremely confident.
