Bernard Arnault is doubling down on U.S. production despite recent criticism of Louis Vuitton’s “Made in USA” bags, deemed low-quality in a Reuters report. The LVMH chairman confirmed plans to open another Texas facility by 2027, near the 2019 Dallas workshop, aiming to strengthen American manufacturing. Arnault emphasized U.S. customers welcome domestically made Louis Vuitton products. While initial projections promised 1,000 jobs, the site employs around 300. This strategy contrasts with Kering’s François-Henri Pinault, who questioned producing Gucci bags in Texas.
