Rahul Mishra Couture SS26: Galaxies on the Body, Fire in Organza

Professor Ivan Allegranti is a seasoned freelance journalist and academic…
Rahul Mishra’s Spring–Summer 2026 Haute Couture collection unfolds as a luminous meditation on the five elements, earth, air, water, fire, and space, transformed into wearable works of art. Perhaps echoing his background in physics, Mishra constructs shimmering galaxies on wire-supported structures that extend from the body like sculptural outgrowths.
Spiral-cut sequins evoke cosmic time, astral brushstrokes animate draped skirts, and meteorological vortices ignite organza flames across embroidered bodysuits and molten corsetry. Inspired by a retreat in the Himalayas, the collection becomes both a poetic homage to nature and a call to preserve its fragile beauty.
