“Rolling Thunder” Hits Milan: Ralph Lauren FW26/27

“Rolling Thunder,” Ralph Lauren’s codename for the renewed global appetite for his aesthetic, brought the house back to Milan with only its third menswear runway show this century.
Presenting Polo and Purple Label together, the brand showcased a dialogue between youthful eclecticism and refined sophistication. Polo delivered playful mash-ups of gorpcore, vintage sportswear, western accents, and relaxed tailoring; Purple countered with composed elegance, adventurous luxury, and multi-layered sartorial codes.
The juxtaposition revealed the breadth of Lauren’s universe and its generational reach. Absent in person, Lauren’s vision nonetheless resonated strongly across the runway.

His journey into the world of fashion began in an unlikely place, as an apprentice in a tailor’s shop. Quickly realising that his strengths lay not in the precision of the needle but in the art of storytelling, he turned his focus to chronicling the brands, artists, and visionaries who define the luxury industry. Today, he combines his legal expertise, academic insight, and narrative flair to bring depth and perspective into GAZETTA. @ivanallegranti
