Philipp Plein SS26: Courtside Spectacle

Professor Ivan Allegranti is a seasoned freelance journalist and academic…
Philipp Plein celebrated the first anniversary of his Milan Plein Hotel with a tennis-inspired collection, tapping into the sport’s cultural momentum. A former player himself, Plein referenced icons like Andre Agassi, shaping a preppy aesthetic of woven leather trenches, chevron separates, and varsity jackets decorated with bulldogs and teddy bears reimagined as players.
The mood shifted mid-show as retro graphics brought humor, before giving way to glamour-heavy looks: crystal gowns, studded biker jackets, and glittering blazers. The finale was pure Plein—he took the stage with Rick Ross, performing Every Day I’m Hustlin’, a fusion of fashion, music, and spectacle.
