Simon Holloway’s Dunhill AW26 Goes Aristocrat Meets Artist

Professor Ivan Allegranti is a seasoned freelance journalist and academic…
For Dunhill Autumn/Winter 2026, Creative Director Simon Holloway draws inspiration from Anthony Armstrong-Jones, Lord Snowdon, and the tension between aristocratic formality and unguarded artistic expression. The collection channels a film-noir 1960s London, defined by tonal discipline, rich textures, and subtle espionage. Gradients of grey shape precise tailoring in superfine wool-cashmere flannels, evolving into textured tweeds, suede, and leather accents. Motoring-inspired outerwear, refined leather goods, and sculptural accessories reinforce the House’s heritage. The result is a quietly cinematic masculinity — tailored, restrained, and unmistakably Dunhill.

Professor Ivan Allegranti is a seasoned freelance journalist and academic based in Italy, with a strong foundation in law and a teaching role in Bratislava. His journey into the world of fashion began in an unlikely place, as an apprentice in a tailor’s shop. Quickly realising that his strengths lay not in the precision of the needle but in the art of storytelling, he turned his focus to chronicling the brands, artists, and visionaries who define the luxury industry. Today, he combines his legal expertise, academic insight, and narrative flair to bring depth and perspective into GAZETTA. @ivanallegranti
