Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana titled their latest menswear collection The Portrait of a Man, yet it felt closer to Portraits of Many Men.

Shown in Milan, the runway delivered undeniable tailoring excellence, notably in Donegal tweeds and sharply cut suits, but lacked a coherent narrative thread.

The staging felt disjointed, shifting abruptly from gentlemanly elegance to theatrical dandyism, luxury shearling, leopard loungewear, military coats, and sporty references.

Strong individual looks could not fully compensate for the absence of a unifying vision, resulting in a collection that felt more commercial than truly compelling.
