Tod’s SS26: The Gommino Thread

Professor Ivan Allegranti is a seasoned freelance journalist and academic…
Tod’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection pays tribute to Italian style and artisanal mastery, with the Gommino as its iconic thread. Signature elements transform into metallic details on loafers and bags, or evolve into refined perforations across garments and accessories.
Leather, Tod’s emblematic material, is reinterpreted with inlays, hand-stitching, and craftsmanship of the highest order. Under Matteo Tamburini’s direction, silhouettes drape lightly in saffron, burnt tones, and natural shades.
Bags, from the deconstructed Di Bag Folio to the perforated T Timeless, celebrate elegance rooted in tradition, elevated for contemporary life.

Today, he combines his legal expertise, academic insight, and narrative flair to bring depth and perspective into GAZETTA. @ivanallegranti
