Entrepreneurial Wellness: Blending Business with Bipolar Self-Care
Yessss! March is here, and it’s a special time for me, both as the founder of ‘Manic Momboss’ and now, as a new columnist for GAZETTA. I’m excited to share that I’ll be contributing regularly under my column ‘Momthentique,’ where I, alongside a newly formed team of mompreneur columnists, will explore the authentic trials and triumphs of balancing motherhood with entrepreneurship.
This month, I’m not just launching new products; I’m also unveiling my foundation, ‘Down2Dance,’ aimed at empowering through dance. My launches and initiatives are strategically planned around ‘Awareness Days’ to align with broader conversations. For example, last year, I introduced the ‘Lioness Leadership Programme’ on International Women’s Day, March 8, which I proudly awarded to the Talent Night victors at TEDxAmsterdamWomen.
This year, I’m preparing for a significant product launch on March 30, in observance of World Bipolar Day. Details on this will be revealed in my next column. Alongside these ventures, ‘Down2Dance’ is taking shape, and I’m gearing up to deliver speeches on inclusive employment practices for individuals with mental health challenges.
In the run-up to these events, I’ve engaged with Dutch media, and my insights will be featured in several publications this March. My return to Holland this month for interviews coincides with Ramadan, adding a personal dimension to this busy period.
Before heading back, I treated myself to a self-care day in Abu Dhabi, unwinding at the hair salon and the Bab Al Qasr pool. Now in Holland, I’m continuing my self-care practices, which are particularly vital during product launch periods.
I want to open up about how I manage not just as a businesswoman and mother but also about how I prioritize my mental health. Hence, I’m introducing a ‘self-care’ column, with a focus on my experience with bipolar disorder, hoping to offer insights and awareness.
Stay tuned for an intimate look into my life’s journey, where business, motherhood, and mental health intersect.
