Bottega Veneta SS26: Trotter’s Confident First Step

Ivan Allegranti

Louise Trotter’s debut at Bottega Veneta marked both a personal milestone and a celebration of the brand’s craftsmanship. She reimagined the intrecciato in new forms: a tailored coat resembling snakeskin, a feather-light robe coat, and a floor-length cape of superfine leather strips.

Movement shaped the collection with fringed skirts, ombré fiberglass knits shimmering like glass, and parachute silk dresses floating delicately around the body.

Accessories revisited icons, including Lauren Hutton’s American Gigolo clutch, newly reimagined. A confident, innovative first step, fusing heritage and modernity with precision.
