Dario Vitale Departs Versace

Dario Vitale, former Miu Miu design director, has left Versace less than a year after being appointed chief creative officer. His September 2025 Milan Fashion Week debut was praised for a personal interpretation of Versace’s aesthetic but drew criticism for lacking the brand’s signature bold femininity.
His departure comes shortly after Prada’s €1.25 billion acquisition of the house, with Lorenzo Bertelli expected to take on the role of executive chairman.

His journey into the world of fashion began in an unlikely place, as an apprentice in a tailor’s shop.
